since when was 250+ slow? looks better than the veyron? the SSC looks kinda generic to me or like an old Lambo diablo (1990’s car). Bugatti have gone on to make a Rival to Rolls Royce do SSC even know what luxuray is??
I doubt Bugatti owners care about fuel efficienty especially when most of them are in the oil buisness.

The bugatti was a technical exsperiment made soly to revive an old dead brand. the 6 figure car actual cost them more to make than to sell (spend money to make it)
It is a luxurary car that happened to be the fastest in the world designed to go fast and take its pasangers over long distances in good comfort
It was never a contest for VW ( teh worlds fastest car) just a way of getting the brand Bugatti back on the map that is done and now they wan to make a Rolls Roysce rival.

@brudel001 Your comment reminds me of what the Bugatti guy told Jay Leno on his website about the SCC Ultimate Aero. ‘Let me know when they sell you one.’ It was a somewhat cryptic comment but I think he meant this car is not really for production let alone for sale. I would definetly like to see it on Top Gear.

many countries have their stuff theyre proud of, thats just how it is.
and yes maybe more americans can buy themselves luxurious cars, maybe thats because their are cheaper because these cars arent as sophisticated as ours? dont be offended though, i never said a ford gt or a dodge viper is a rubbish car.

True, Europeans make more sophisticated cars and they brag about it, however, how many Europeans do you see driving supercars? Big difference between auto production philosophies where Europe builds for the elite class and the US builds so that the working class can afford it.

@hollathedolla Any time someone is attempting a high speed run like this, they wear a helmet and full race suit in case something goes catastrophically wrong. It probably wouldn’t help much at 250 mph, but Bugatti wouldn’t have let him max the car if he wasn’t wearing it.
@overclockedamd123 That Ford GT was also modified, not a factory model, and is probably less reliable in the long run. Bugatti designed their car to last for years, and specifically designed it to go 253 mph. Ford didn’t.
