in this situation you should wait for spreding of roads with sand, salt etc, and use winter tyres with snow chains on them, driving very slowly on 2nd gear (of course you have car with ABS and ESP)

Are you serious? Most winter tires won’t help against ice unless they’re studded and there are a number of states that don’t allow that.
