November 1st, 2009 at 8:29 pm
fit and finish in a jag being poor? that’s the first time i hear that… usually reviewers rave about the quality and tightness of a jaguar cabin

i really need some throbbin gherkin right now

I’d have a BMW M5 with the engine from the CTS-V.

AMG FTW
November 1st, 2009 at 8:29 pm
We aren’t compairing aftermarket here, the E63 is an AMG, like the V to the CTS.
If you want to add a supercharger to the E63, then go look up Hennessey V700, to compare. That car launches so hard, On-Star called the car to ask if everyone was okay and need medical attention.

I seem to be able to read right off the GM press release, Sigma will stay a Caddy exclusive. And Sigma I was co designed down under, with the North American HQ.

You don’t know your cars then, and stop being an American hater. Little fact for ya:
Sigma II
Sigma II, larger and wider than its previous counterpart, debuted with the 2008 CTS, and shares more parts with the larger Zeta than the smaller Sigma I. Sigma II is more flexible and features the Direct Injection 3.6 HF V6 as its primary engine and a new more powerful 3.6 L DI HF V6, as well as supercharged smallblock V8 for the V-Series CTS. Sigma will stay a Cadillac exclusive.

Grandads will love this Mercedes, it looks so dull…
Jaguar looks modern and exclusive…

2 cars 4 the price 2…LQTMS

The corvette engine in the cts has more power, give the E63 a supercharger, or a biturbo package, then you guys can compare them for REAL.
November 1st, 2009 at 8:29 pm
Just accept there is better car than american cars, and this test proved it.
November 1st, 2009 at 8:29 pm
Well, then you don’t know much about saab/cadillac. Just look inside a standard cts, and inside a saab 9-3. Cadillac just stole the ingredients for a sportscar, added some of their “own” styling trim, a big pushrod engine, and called it a supercar. That’s why it’s so cheap too.
November 1st, 2009 at 8:29 pm
i totally agree with you .. but jaguar need to add at least extra 50 hp to the new engine ..
November 1st, 2009 at 8:29 pm
Like I said, you guys need to read the Car And Driver Mag. C&D tested all 3 cars, and the one that has the most points, wins. The CTS-V lost the E63 by a mere 2 points. And it would have gotten more if the CTS-V they tested, came with an Automatic, instead of a manual. Also, they said that the CTS-V had a cramped back seat.Remember, these are LUXURY sport sedans,or Saloons.WHen they do these comparisons, they grade these cars on everything, and not just Horsepower!
November 1st, 2009 at 8:29 pm
They FUCKED it up 3 ways
1 They used a stick instead of an auto like the others
2 They did the test in Germany instead of the US (where these assholes live)
3 They probably got paid-off to make the MERCEDES (Not MERC) look good.
Corporate BULLSHIT at it’s best
November 1st, 2009 at 8:29 pm
how do they fuck up on the cts-v 0-60 by nearly a half second.
November 1st, 2009 at 8:29 pm
MrCod is correct, the CTS is NOT a SAAB chassis. Do some research before posting next time.
November 1st, 2009 at 8:29 pm
And I thought you were an ignorant schmuck before….
The CTS’s chassis is specific to the CTS and STS, and the STS uses and older version of it. So the CTS’s chassis is pretty much its own.

November 1st, 2009 at 8:29 pm
Have you seen a comparison….? Same cheap plastic steering wheel, and some other things. But most important, the undercarriage is from a saab, thats why it is so good to drive compared to real american cars.
November 1st, 2009 at 8:29 pm
Guess you never really looked inside the caddy then, eh? And this caddy is not a Saab.
I do like the Jag, but not enough to spend that much more over the Caddy.
