Reversing the footage basically, but nothing detailed as that. All he did was that he walked backwards while everything else was moving forward normally. You can tell by the jerkiness of his legs as he walks in the video.
A very simple process - nothing difficult, probably a little practice to get it right though.

Hayden probably used a green screen to film himself, if not he is very good at rotoscoping. He probaly filmed a scene in front of a supermarket and used time remapping (adobe after effects) to reverse the footage.
