   there is a 7 spd dual clutch availableon the 35i, and a 6 spd auto on the 30i

   Probably irrelevant anyway. Most people that shell out for the TT6 engine are fanboys and will likely spend the extra couple thousand for ECU and exhaust upgrade for the easy 400 bhp. It’s too bad the car is such a pig though- the TT6 version weighs as much as the 335i. BMW could’ve shaved several hundred pounds and about $10K off the price if they’d kept the Z4 a soft-top.

   Its like BMW are turning their light (and affordable) little Z series roadster. Into a bigger, more luxurious GT Convertible or something.

   are you an idiot? a stock 97 corolla that goes 160 mph?!? wtf? maybe 105 if it’s been serviced properly.

   but you should know that all bmw’s, audi’s, volkswagens, and mercedes’ are electronically limited to 155 mph for environmental, safety, and ultimately, monetary reasons.

   let me put it this way… without a limiter, the bmw m5 would hit 204 mph. therefore, all the components in the car would need to withstand 204 mph, not 155 mph. it would therefore be much more expensive.

   they raised the price, but they gave you more as standard. the new one has a folding-metal-hard-top, the old one had a soft top. compare the interior of the new one to the old one, it’s much more luxurious. on top of that, they now offer more powerful engines and i think they offer a double-clutch flappy paddle box as well, but i don’t know who would want to buy that.

   No, i think’s more closer to 5.2 to 5.4 because they have put the 335 twin turbo engine in it. The 4.8 sec sprint is the current M3 spec. If bmw decide to release the M version of this car which would be a killer then i would believe the 4.8 sec sprint. I’m looking forward to seeing this car and seeing the diffrence between the “old and new” Z4.

   Kind of a retarded jump in MSRP between this and the last Z4!!!! Is BMW too busy trying to catch up with Benz by overpricing their cars. Before we know it, the once affordable Z will be 80-100 grand.

    never did feel for a z3, or z4, or the 318, sticking to my M3 hard top….i got speed, looks w/ no desperations on both appeals and i got room for my azn girls and her girlfriends… Now that wat u can call a GangBang… lol Hppy hppy joy joy
