    It’d be smart to adapt

    Bye bye petroleum

Go Fox Valley Electric Auto Association!!!! I didn’t know you had this video. Super. My 2002 hybrid Insight has a couple 200k on it and the NiMH batteries don’t show any sign of wear. If and when it begins to fade I’m definitely going pure EV and may call on you all. Any thoughts about the Firefly foam lead batteries since we can’t get any Panasonic NiMH’s anymore? (Or can we?)

    13k to convert, lmao..

    ev drive is the futur
THEY NEED TO START MANUFACTURING THESE SOON

hey tags, even if my EV is charged by all coal generated electricity, i’m STILL much cleaner than your gas car… internal combustion engines are something like 18% efficient. pathetic….

  9. lobextomy Says:

Eventually all power stations will be solar, wind, or nuclear fusion powered…there is no choice…oil will run out in approximately 30 years (probably less since demand is outpacing output)

  10. KamLex0 Says:

People think that there are a lot of ways for getting electricity.
E.g. Denmark produces 30% of all electricity by wind turbines.

  11. TagsRover Says:

Do people think that electricity magically appears? What about the powerplants that burn the coal to produce electricity?

  12. ISLAM4THICKONES Says:

    Good thinking yes!

We have to look at the TOTAL cost!
Not just the cheap cost to recharge the batteries.
Batteries can be recycled but the cost to replace probably similar to replacing a petrol engine every 2 or 3 years!!!
Laptop batteries get only approx 2 years you may notice!

  13. DRSmetal Says:

I’m just worried lower gas prices will stop the momentum for EV.

  14. dougdangger Says:

    $15,000 just to convert it?

With the current gas prices, I can get 250,000 miles out of $15,000 driving my car.

It would literally take you 20 YEARS to break even just by doing this conversion.

Not to mention your batteries will be depleted in a couple of years and will require COSTLY replacement.

Oh, did I mention that your depleted batteries will haunt the earth for MILLIONS of years. That’s right, toxic waste will produce grand kids with arms growing out of their ears.

    LOL!

Check out the technology on magnets… no need for electric cars or generators, the magnets generate all the elctricity or motivation you need. cars, trains, aircraft rocket engines and the hold their charge for 400 years… search youtube…

For cars only but not for trucks.

  21. LoneOarman Says:

Nicola Tesla’s car used a battery switching trick which makes the batteries self charging. Google “Tesla Switch”, and positive results and replications are found on overunity website.

  22. sockosockosocko Says:

i doubt it’s coming from petro. more likely coal which in these electric cars translates to WAAY cheaper and WAAY cleaner than gasoline.

  23. TechMaven Says:

9 grand for parts?? What a thief that guy is. My buddy just converted his Tercel with a 19hp forklift motor and a slew of batteries for under 2k.

  24. koerdos Says:

we get it smart ass =P

  25. livefromhammond Says:

Might want to stop back by the petrolem company since your power bill just went up and after all power is made mostly with patrolem. But i do respect the effort and ideas like this do change the world.
