Electric Cars in Oregon and Salem-News.com

Used Car Financing from up2drive.com.

There is a quiet revolution taking place on the streets of America. Gas prices are rising out of sight and into view comes the vision of the future: a conventional electric car that has four wheels, a realistic range, and a price tag of 500. The use of the word Revolution here is both figurative and literal; that is the name of the new four wheel electric car offered for sale at Electric Wheels in Salem, Oregon.

this is crap. No offense but there are electric cars that can go 160mph, have a range of 300 miles, and 600hp. My friend has an electric plug in hybrid vehicle (in china) you can drive all day in, up mountain roads, through back country roads and highway..

Why can we not buy one? Who or what is keeping us from getting one? One less tank of gas is one less dollar for terrorists to use against us!

The 25 MPH law sounds like a conspiracy to prevent electric vehicles from competing with gas guzzlers.

Nope, he meant to say Lithium Iron Phosphate. Li-Fe-PO(4). The Segway uses them, and so does DeWalt in their tools.

Did he say “Lithium Iron Phosphate”? Did he mean to say Lithium Ion Phosphate?

I just have one question, and I DO REALIZE that this idea would VOID the warranty…
Is it possible to “strap on” a small two cylinder motorcycle engine somewhere on these cars for what might be a short high speed jaunt, perhaps 50-60 mph?
Put another way, can the battery count be reconfigured by an industrious owner to get this vehicle to freeway speeds even though Revolution isn’t allowed to do it?
Is this car a good “mule” for hi-speed conversions??

p.s.: I’m also an Music Graduate. Kutos to Neil Young. I remember stepping outside of the norm such as Calixa Lavale, etc, and doing a project on Young in my Panoramic of Canadian Music class. If I find the the project I’ll post the final quote! (Which may be appropriate for this EV LSV). p.s.: Search on google maps for LSV Proposal Ottawa.

Hi, Name’s Pat, I work for Pedaless Bikes Corp., here in Canada Ontario. Here LSV are not legal for operation on road. We are currently putting forward a proposal to test LSV’s in the Ottawa area under a pilot project with the Ministry of Transportation, the University of Ottawa, Algonquin College, etc. We are looking for estimates on the purchase of 3 LSVs. Take note that these vehicle will receive good media attention and will most like gain a first mover advantage within our region. Regards!
